Le Michel Mud Volcano and Canari Bay

The natural regurgitating mud Volcano is located along Bunsee Trace in the coastal area of Penal. There is parking at the start of this trail and it is not advised to venture pass this area with your vehicle. The walk to the volcano crater is 30 mins. Mud bathing is allowed but full body immersion is not encouraged for safety reasons. The hike could proceed to the Leau Michel Beach which is another 30 mins to the coast. This hike is rated easy and is recommended for some “clean” family fun.
